I was with my sister in Madison,Wi and my Car broke down on a very hot Saturday! I called and spoke with Mark, he said bring it in. I needed brakes on front and rear of my car. Mark gave me a fair price and was a very fun host to spend out time with. He kept me and my sister laughing the whole time. 😄 They also did the job in 2.5 hrs which kept the mechanic on overtime. I definitely recommend this business to anyone needing Help! 5⭐ Thanks Mark for a Memorable Afternoon! 😃 Jolene

I came in on Sunday after my serpentine belt tore itself up on a segment... they got me in for service immediately, only downside was that it took them a good 3 hours to figure out it wasn't just that I needed a serpentine belt, but also a belt tensioner (cause of the tear in the belt). With that knowledge I was told to come in the next day, and before I left I was told the price. Today, Monday morning, I checked in with a couple other autoshops to compare costs, Maurice and Sons was by far the best deal I found in the area. Super friendly guys both mechanics and the owners. Once they got the part in (took 45 minutes to deliver) my car was fixed in under two hours. Overall great service, great people, you may just need to wait a bit of extra time... but they find out the problem! That's all that matters. I've been to multiple other mechanics in the past, many shops try to upsell me on other parts and things to fix that I didn't actually need (tensioner I did actually need, good explanation was given that made sense to me)... I was pleasantly surprised when Maurice & Sons finished and none of that extra nonsense was given.

My wife and I were passing through Madison late at night on 06/25/2026 on our way to Tennessee when one of the front calipers on our car broke off. The wheel locked up and the car was undrivable. I stayed the night in Madison. The first thing I did when I woke up was call around trying to find someone to help us. Maurice was the only one who answered. I was able to contact him at around 8 am on a Friday (06/26), and was back on the road by around 12 - 1 pm the same day. Maurice was very transparent about the issue with our car, was both professional and kind, and did not overcharge. Our situation could have turned out much different. Under the circumstances, this outcome was the best case scenario. Thank you Maurice & Sons for getting us back on the road so quickly and for taking away the stress of a mid-journey breakdown.

I cannot say enough good things about Maurice and Sons. The service here is truly unparalleled. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had made the right decision—the staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. The owner went above and beyond to take care of me. He was actively trying to make sure I got the best possible deal and even took the time to squeeze me in last minute, which I really appreciated. When we discovered that I needed new calipers and he wouldn’t be able to finish the work that day, he didn’t just send me on my way—he offered to give me a ride home. That level of care is rare. What really stood out to me was overhearing him on the phone with another customer. He explained that they were closing soon and wouldn’t be able to get to their car that day, but then suggested that AutoZone could perform the same service for free. Even though that meant losing business and money, he clearly cared more about helping the customer than making a profit. That kind of honesty and integrity is hard to find. You truly won’t find better people or better prices anywhere in the state. Maurice and Sons has earned a customer for life.

Maurice and Sons towed my daughter’s car on January 18th of this year. They told us it was her battery and alternator. It took them 10 days to complete this job. We were told the car was ready. We drove 2 hours to get the car to wait 8 hours for us to tell them something else was wrong. They did not test drive the car after the initial repair so was not aware that the turbo was not working. We waited another 2 weeks or so for them to fix this problem. As we were driving home the same issue was happening to the car. We were told to drive it home and it would work itself out. A week later we brought the car to the dealer for $180 for them to tell us it was the turbo. We drove the car back up to Maurice & sons to get a replacement. 5 WEEKS LATER and many text messages back and forth the car is done. We get it home and they damaged the front hood! This has been the worst experience in communication and overall satisfaction. I can’t believe this. Don’t try calling with complaints because they hang up on you. You must go in-person to get anything done.
